The international training on "Technical Textiles", the first program of the five-year training project between Turkey and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), was successfully completed by TÜBİTAK BUTAL.
A total of 16 trainees from Bangladesh, Republic of Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Vietnam, Vietnam and Zimbabwe participated in the training organized by TÜBİTAK BUTAL in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TIKA and UNIDO on 08-19 October 2018.
Within the scope of the program, in addition to theoretical subjects, technical inspection trips to TÜBİTAK BUTAL Laboratories and private sector factories and participation in the "7th International Technical Textiles Congress" organized by Dokuz Eylül University were provided.
In the speeches made at the closing/certificate ceremony, which was attended by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and officials from the Ministry of Industry and Technology and UNIDO, it was emphasized that such training programs are also beneficial for bilateral cooperation between countries.
It was stated that the systematic training programs organized with the aim of increasing the manpower productivity and competitiveness of developing countries, improving the knowledge and skills of the participants especially in the field of sustainable production technologies and preparing the ground for potential collaborations will continue within the framework of a specific program in the coming years.
