Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa VARANK, together with the accompanying delegation, visited TÜBİTAK BUTAL's Material-Textile, Chemistry-Environment and Food and Agricultural Chemistry Laboratories on October 22, 2019 and received information from the employees about the activities carried out.

During the visit, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL and TÜBİTAK BUTAL Director Sedat AKTAŞ were present and BUTAL's duties, test/analysis and inspection activities were introduced and BUTAL's accreditation, environmental analysis competence and quality certificates were mentioned.

It was pointed out that Dioxin-Furan analyses in emission samples, which are especially important for the environment and human health and some of which were previously sent abroad, can be carried out at BUTAL, and that infrastructure has been developed in automotive and polymer/composite material tests for parameters that had to be carried out abroad. It was also emphasized that the devices purchased for this purpose contribute to localized test/analysis services.
