At the event hosted by TÜBİTAK BUTAL, officials from the Istanbul Restoration and Conservation Central and Regional Laboratory and Bursa Restoration and Conservation Regional Laboratory of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums were present;

Starting with an introductory presentation about BUTAL's activities and laboratory facilities by Sedat AKTAŞ, Director of BUTAL, and with introductory presentations of the Material Textile Laboratory and Inspection Services activities, Ali Osman AVŞAR, Director of the Istanbul Restoration and Conservation Central and Regional Laboratory of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, gave detailed information about the way their laboratories work, the types of services they provide, the importance of conservation, the problems encountered and existing collaborations.

The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of effective consultation, ended after the technical visit of the authorities to BUTAL Laboratories.
