An international training on "Eco-Production and Waste Management in Leather Industry" was organized for developing countries between 21 November - 02 December 2022 with the cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the organization of TÜBİTAK BUTAL. 14 trainees from 10 different countries (Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Vietnam, Zimbabwe) participated in the training.

Within the scope of the training program, technical inspection trips were organized to TÜBİTAK BUTAL and TÜBİTAK MAM Laboratories, Leather Organized Industrial Zones, Ege University Leather Engineering Department and Private Sector Leather Enterprises.

"Training Certificates" were given to the trainees who successfully completed the training and the training was completed with the general evaluations of the trainees, who stated that the training program added great benefits to their professional fields, and the participation of the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey and UNIDO.
