As TÜBİTAK BUTAL, we operate as an "R&D Support Unit" focused on enhancing and sustaining our country's scientific and technological competitive edge. Our fundamental quality policy is to be among the leading laboratories with international competence in the fields of testing, analysis, and inspection.
We are committed to providing our services in accordance with principles of confidentiality, neutrality, accuracy, speed, and reliability. Customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of our business. In this context, our goal is to perform all tests and analyses with high precision and accuracy, meet requests in a timely manner, and continuously improve the organization's performance. In this way, we aim to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
We believe in teamwork and mutually beneficial relationships as values to create an efficient, flexible, and customer-oriented organizational structure. Embracing a customer and process-oriented perspective, we manage our work and resources to gain customer trust and reach self-sufficiency and unconditional customer satisfaction.

Information Security Policy
BUTAL Information Security Policy is based on protecting information assets, managing risks, meeting legal and contractual obligations and continuous improvement of ISMS.
The main theme of TS EN ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS): Execution of information security management systems within the framework of all informatics activities carried out within the scope of data management systems and documented information, server computers, experimental device/equipment computers, personal computers and their users used at BUTAL, demonstration of information security management within the information and process data belonging to third parties, assurance of risk management, measurement of information security management process performance and regulation of relations with third parties on information security issues.
In this direction, the purpose of BUTAL Directorate ISMS Policy is to protect BUTAL data resources against internal/external threats that may be encountered within the scope of BUTAL's services and activities, and to meet the requirements of the information security management system standard and legal legislation requirements.
In all services and activities carried out at BUTAL, the following issues are observed within the framework of the principles of confidentiality, integrity and accessibility:
- Preventing unauthorized access to BUTAL's information assets,
- Demonstrating that the accuracy and integrity of information is maintained within the scope of the information security management system.
- Ensuring that uninterrupted access to information is available to employees within specified authorizations,
- Ensuring the security of all data in written, printed, verbal and similar media, as well as data kept in electronic media,
- Ensuring that BUTAL personnel assume their responsibilities within the scope of the information security policy and information security management system procedure, and ensuring the continuity of activities regarding employee awareness,
- Ensuring effective information security asset and incident management and business continuity,
- As a result of conducting periodic risk assessments on information security, action plans are reviewed and monitored,
- Ensuring that the activities supporting the objectives in the information security policy are included in the information security goals and objectives established each year, and that the progress of these activities is monitored and reported throughout the year,
- Ensuring that the information security management system is continuously improved and that continuous improvement efforts are reviewed by the management.
Our Risk Management Policy
The following issues are taken into consideration within the framework of risk management processes that are integrated, structured, comprehensive, adaptable, inclusive, dynamic, based on the best information, observing human and cultural values, and adopting continuous improvement principles for all services and activities carried out at BUTAL:
At BUTAL, risk management is integrated into all processes (integrated) and all risk categories are regularly reviewed in process assessments (continuous improvement, comprehensive). Risk assessment processes are carried out with systematic, consistent and comparable methods (structured), supported by verifiable data (based on the best available information), taking into account employee experience and competencies (human and cultural factors are taken into account); risks are monitored and updated according to changing conditions and internal and external issues and stakeholders are included in the process (adaptive, inclusive and dynamic).
BUTAL Directorate, together with the leadership commitment and obligations of the management, guides and leads the allocation of resources, identification of process owners and assignment of their responsibilities, operation of mechanisms for measuring, monitoring and reviewing performance indicators of processes, and development of a risk management approach.
Customer Satisfaction Policy
Our fundamental principle is to ensure accurate and timely information flow between our customers and employees to maintain lasting customer satisfaction. We ensure that all our employees are customer-oriented. We communicate to all employees whether customer requirements are met and continuously measure and evaluate customer expectations. We record every compliment, suggestion, complaint, and objection, ensuring their follow-up, and focus on continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Environmental Policy
We adhere to national and international environmental legislation and continuously improve environmental risks. We use energy efficiently, control waste generation, and support recycling efforts. We enhance our employees' awareness of environmental issues and minimize potential accidents that could harm the environment.

We have once again demonstrated our competence in the field of commerce with the Type B International Inspection Company Certificate issued by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye.
We have underlined our competence in the field of analysis and measurement with the Environmental Measurement and Analysis Competence Certificate issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye.

- We have demonstrated our commitment to environmental sustainability with the Zero Waste Management System Certificate (Basic Level) issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Türkiye.
- We have once again highlighted our organization's outstanding success with the 2019 Bursa Excellence Achievement Award based on the EFQM Model.
- We have reaffirmed our expertise in the field of commerce by once again proving our competence with the Type A International Inspection Company Certificate issued by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye.
